A good flower production of upright pale orange flower spikes in late winter from this medium sized green leafed hybrid aloe – great for mass plantings or in a pot. Like most aloe hybrids, it will need a few years to reach its maximum flower production after the first flowering season. After a few years the leaves develop a graceful curve and there may also be a short stem.
If there are stem shoots that do not look like they are starved for space under the plant it may be a sound strategy to allow two or three of them to develop into flowering rosettes while removing the others. This will greatly enhance the flower display after 2 or 3 seasons, and change your aloe to a bush, making ot more arborescens-like.
Best recorded flowering performance from a single rosette: 5 inflorescences and a total of 14 racemes.
