Aloe striata ssp. karasbergensis

Growing in the southern parts of Namibia around the Karas mountain and in the Gariep valley of the Richtersveld, this beautifully marked aloe with its reddish pinkish leaves with dull lines is a subspecies of the similar but unmarked Aloe striata. It grows up to 30cm from the ground and often stems out from the main stem , making a striking display when mature. The branched inflorescense has pretty dull red flowers in January to March. Available as small plants in 12cm pots.
